After finishing the public administration career, I am interested in taking the "Gender approach in management and public policy" diploma at the Instituto de Asuntos Públicos of the Universidad de Chile. The reasons to do this course are related to my interest in the incorporation of gender perspective in the public policy design. I consider it important to recognize that the roles, rights and obligations of women and men are culturally and socially determined unequally and hierarchically, therefore, it is necessary to consider differently the requirements, interests and priorities of both in the formulation of policies and programs, in addition to applying mechanisms and tools that tend to eliminate gender inequities.
