My opinion about:

    Animal testing:
In my opinion, I consider it an unnecessary and very cruel practice, since the test exposes the animals to very painful experiments, causing irritation to the eyes and the skin, among other things.  However, I think that consumers here in Chile are increasingly worried about this issue, preferring cruelty-free products.

The immigration situation in Chile:
In recent times, there has been a considerable increase in the immigrant population in Chile, which has become a matter of public interest. Foreigners view Chile as an opportunity to improve their quality of life. However, they arrive here are exposed to discriminatory treatment and comments such as "immigrants come to take our jobs."
For this reason, I think it is urgent to create public policies and social programs with an intercultural approach that consider the eradication of racism.

Recycling:
I think that recycling is a very good way to take care of the planet, since it contributes to mitigate climate change. However, I consider it worrying that industries, which are primarily responsible for pollution on the planet, do not commit themselves to concrete measures to solve this problem.

Chilean tradition called ‘mechoneo’: 
I believe that this welcome ritual in universities is retrograde, since violent and burlesque situations occur, which denigrate students. However, more recreational and friendly welcome activities that do not involve violent behavior have been implemented in different universities.

Italian Paradise

The country I would like to go is Italia because it catches my attention its culture, food and landscape. What I know about this country is that it has a very extensive cultural heritage and little of its gastronomy.   If I had the opportunity to go I would like to visit as many museums as possible and contemplate the architecture of its cities, especially the oldest, for example "Florencia". Besides, I would like to eat the gastronomic specialty of each region; however, I would prefer the vegetarian option, because I’m vegetarian for more than a year. Another thing I would like to do is walk around the several beaches and enjoying ocean swimming, especially "Capri". I’m not sure if I want to study, work or live there. I suppose that I just want to be a tourist, because I prefer take advantage of my money visiting different countries in a certain time. I think I would get bored being in the same place for a long time.

My future job

When I was in school, I always felt more affinity with the humanities than with mathematics and sciences. For this reason I thought to be a history teacher (because the subject that I liked the most was history), however, I preferred to see other options as I was not really seeing myself as a teacher in the future. I think don’t have the ability to teach or explain things, besides, the labor field in Chile that is not the most optimal. I decided to study Public Administration for reasons of employability, since it has several areas in which we can work, for example in the direction of public organizations, high-level advice on public affairs, research and dissemination of knowledge about public affairs and management and coordination in the public policy process.   Nevertheless, sometimes I think that working on these things is a bit boring; I think that office hours and being in front of a computer all day is a bit tiring and stressful.
